Both halves of this puzzle are in the hills near the green tower: one player must hold the green seat and press its button so the other can walk to the microphone box and take out the gourd.
This is the other end of the green seat / microphone box pair. The GameSlayer counts it as a yellow tower gourd source, while bigwalktips treats it as a standalone green tower challenge - which tells you something useful: these challenges are a candidate pool, not a fixed allocation. Spend them on whichever tower you are short of.

Split the two ends
One player goes to the green seat on the east coast and stays with it; the other goes to the microphone box in the hills near the green tower.

The seated player presses
Whoever is on the seat presses the button once they get the signal that their partner is in position.

The microphone box opens
The box opens and the player beside it takes out the red gourd.

Where this solution came from
The GameSlayer lists the Microphone Box as a yellow tower part source and states that somebody has to hold the green seat to press the button, with a radio being "almost essential"; bigwalktips' Green Seat feature describes the other end of the same pair. The two disagree on which tower it belongs to, so this page presents it honestly as a candidate pool.
Puzzles in this game are not assigned in a fixed order: most of them reward the same generic red gourd, so you can clear any set of challenges around a tower. That is why two guides list different puzzle line-ups for the same tower — neither is wrong. Unless a coordinate is credited to a named source it is a community measurement, and later versions can shift it; once you are in the area, trust the landmark over the number.
